Reimagining Citizenship

Dominican University of California has partnered with the City of Novato to provide public service opportunities for high school students who are residents of Novato. 

The application process includes:
  • A completed Dominican University of California Application (any major)
  • A supplemental essay providing a detailed account of your involvement with the surrounding community 
  • An interview with Dominican University and the City of Novato
Benefits of the program include: 
  • A Dominican scholarship valued up to $25,000 per academic year (up to $100,000 total over a four-year period) 
  • A $10,000 internship stipend from the City of Novato across two summers 
  • Civic engagement while preparing for a career that positively impacts the community
In order to qualify for the program, you must: 
  • Have primary residence in Novato 
  • Have a strong background in community service/leadership or volunteer work 
  • 3.0 minimum high school GPA 
  • Complete a Dominican University of California admissions application
